PMDD, or Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder, is a disorder that impacts 3-5% of people who get periods by adding a layer of severity to their Premenstrual Symptoms.
This is not PMS, this is suicidal ideation. This is compulsive isolation. This is a searing emotional instability that lasts for weeks on end. Research has contributed very little to patients with PMDD (shocker), and it is often disregarded.
PMMD: Side Effects May Vary is an autobiographical comic that represents my experiences with PMDD. This comic is meant to visualize the cyclical struggles that people, such as myself, have and will continue to experience with PMDD.
